Terms of Service
Last updated: September 24, 2026
In short: BeNexo is for keeping and caring for your relationships. What you save is yours, you decide who you share it with, and you can take it with you or delete it whenever you want. In return, we ask that you are at least 14, that you respect the people you save things about, and that you don't use BeNexo to cause harm.
1. What BeNexo is and who provides it
BeNexo is an app and a web panel for keeping memories, plans, dates and details about the people who matter to you, and sharing them with whoever you choose. It is provided by the BeNexo team. You can write to us at hola@benexo.app.
By continuing from the app's welcome screen or verifying your number, you accept these terms and confirm you have read our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use BeNexo.
2. Minimum age
You must be at least 14 years old to use BeNexo, the age from which Spanish law lets you consent to the processing of your own data. If the minimum age in your country is higher, that one applies.
You can keep memories about your children or grandchildren (that's what the diary they will inherit is for), but the account must belong to someone who meets the minimum age.
3. Your account and your phone number
- You can start using BeNexo on your phone without an account. The account is created when you verify your number with an SMS code, and it's needed to sync between devices, use the web, cloud AI and sharing.
- Use a number that is yours. You are responsible for what is done from your account and for protecting access to your phone.
- If another BeNexo user has your number in their contacts and has turned on discovery, they will be able to see that you're on BeNexo too. Only encrypted fingerprints of numbers are compared; it's not a public directory. We explain it in the help page.
4. What you save is yours
Everything you create in BeNexo (text, photos, videos, audio, documents) remains yours. To provide the service, you allow us to store it, copy it between your devices, process it (for example, shrinking a photo or generating a suggestion when you ask for one) and show it to the people you choose to share it with. That permission ends when you delete it or delete your account, except for what you have already shared and other people keep in their copies.
BeNexo is local-first: the home of your data is your phone. We recommend turning on backups (Settings → Backup) so you don't lose anything if you change or lose your phone.
5. The people you save things about
Much of what you save is about other people. Do it with the same care you'd want others to take when saving things about you: don't upload information that person wouldn't want kept or shared, and respect privacy laws. You are responsible for that information; we only process it on your behalf (see the Privacy Policy).
6. Sharing, boards and legacy
- What you share with a person, a circle or a group will be seen by its members while you keep it shared. Anyone who has already seen or saved it may keep it.
- If you create a board with a public link, anyone with the link can send you a contribution. You review each contribution before it's published and can turn the link off at any time.
- If you prepare the handover of a legacy, the person you hand it to will receive the content shared about them when they verify their number. It's a deliberate step that only the person managing that profile can take.
7. What is not allowed
Don't use BeNexo to:
- harass, threaten, impersonate or deceive other people;
- share content that is illegal, violent, hateful, sexual without consent or that exploits minors in any way;
- send spam or mass invitations to strangers;
- infringe other people's rights (intellectual property, image, privacy);
- try to access other people's accounts or data, overload the service or get around its protections.
If you see something like this, you can report it and block the person from within the app. We review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.
8. Nex, the AI helper
AI features are optional. Their suggestions can be wrong or not fit the person: always review them before using or sending them. You decide what is saved or sent; Nex never saves or sends anything on its own.
9. Plans and pricing
BeNexo can be used for free. Some features (such as cloud AI beyond a certain usage) may require a paid plan. Before you pay for anything, we'll tell you clearly what it includes and how much it costs. We will never limit how much you can save or hold your memories hostage: you can always export them.
10. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep BeNexo running well, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may change, improve or remove features. If a change significantly affects you, we'll give you reasonable notice.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, BeNexo is not liable for indirect damages or for data loss you could have avoided with a backup. Nothing in these terms limits the rights consumer protection law gives you.
12. Leaving
You can stop using BeNexo and delete your account whenever you want from the app (Settings → Account) or as explained in Delete account. We may suspend or close an account that seriously breaks these terms; unless the law or safety prevents it, we'll let you know and you'll be able to export your data first.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll publish the current version on this page with its date and, if the change is significant, we'll tell you in the app. If you keep using BeNexo afterwards, we understand you accept the new version.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the laws of your country of residence and can go to the courts where you live.
